Make Your Seminar, Workshop,
Training or Other Live Event
Very Successful !!!

So, you want to share your knowledge and experience in a seminar, workshop or training and make money doing it. You’re already a successful doctor, lawyer, therapist, butcher, baker or candlestick maker, and you want to work in a seminar with more than one person at a time. You want to be a well-known speaker or teacher. At least that’s what you think you want. Sure, you may have had difficulty standing in front of the room giving your book report in when you were in third grade, but you believe that you have now overcome what most people fear more than death – public speaking!!!

This site is dedicated to you and to the reality that the world does not need more public speakers - be they famous or not, be they great or horrific. What we need are people with wisdom and knowledge who are willing and able to share their insight with others in a group setting. This is what I call facilitating or presenting, and it is not difficult because it is not about you or what you have to say. It is about “them” - your audience. This is particularly true at a seminar, workshop, meeting or any other gathering that I will continually refer to as a “live event” or perhaps just as an “event.”

Also know that presenting or facilitating a live event is not rocket science. You can be VERY successful at it if you follow the simple formula described throughout this site. Over the course of thirty plus years, I have worked with great presenters and those who needed help, and I have been able to help even the worst presenters succeed. Often this was accomplished by surrounding them with a team of people (usually unpaid volunteers) who faithfully supported the event and more importantly supported the participants in getting what they came for.

And that's what it’s really all about – giving people what they came for? I don’t care if you are the greatest orator on the face of the Earth, if the people sitting in front of you leave the room without getting exactly that, your event failed. This will be reflected in the sales of your book, recorded material or in the fact that they don’t sign up for your next course.

On the other hand, if you focus on what they want, it does not matter how “good” or “bad” anyone (including yourself) judges you as a speaker. In fact, if you’re really good at the art of facilitation / presentation in your seminar, your audience will do more talking than you during the event. Again, I can’t reiterate it enough – the seminar is about them not you or your wisdom! In fact, it really doesn’t matter if you are an “expert” on your topic because, as you will learn throughout this site, the context is far more important than the content. Similarily, this site is not about me - IT’S ABOUT YOU!!! I want you to succeed and prosper in the seminar, workshop, training business, and I am offering you the tools and simple formulas to do just that.

So, I suggest that you take a look at everything you find here. Give it a test drive in your seminar, workshop, training or other live event. Keep what works for you, and throw out the rest. Don’t take my word that this works. Trust your personal experience while creating and enjoying your event. That’s how I learned most of what you will find here.
